NEWS: EW Reports Legend of the Seeker Canceled?

It is with sad news that I post this article (in all it’s brevity).

It appears that rumors are circulating about the cancellation of Legend of the Seeker. Apparently, EW’s Michael Ausiello is reporting that Legend Of Seeker has been canceled. Ausiello has always been a pretty good source of hints, sneak peeks, coming attractions and bad/good news in the television industry.

Whether or not this rumor is to believed is another thing but as of this articles post there was nothing written by Mike Sussman or any of the cast available on Twitter to confirm or deny this.

Other LoTS sites are picking up the same information, most notably TheSeekerCast folks and TVByTheNumbers (who give us excellent ratings and show information). We will post more information if Mike Sussman or someone in an official capacity gives us the lowdown.

Regardless of how it turns out, it has been a fun two seasons (thus far?) and hopefully there are more to come.

RUMORS: Major Lead Dies + Kahlan’s Confessor Juice Gone?

There has been a bunch of rumors circulating lately that Kahlan will soon find her confessor juice is gone in addition to one of the major leads finally meeting their end.

Exec producer Ken Biller just dropped this mammoth spoiler: “One of our leads — I won’t say who — is going to die.” Wait, there’s more! In an episode slated to air later this month, “Kahlen is going to suddenly find herself without her powers, which not only puts her in danger, but also creates a situation in which she is potentially no longer a danger to Richard. The question [then] becomes, ‘Can they in fact be together?’ Of course as the episode unfolds, we realize everything is not what it seems. The situation is far more complicated than it originally appears.”

In order to pick this apart we use some pictures from the episode Hunger and some words from the episode Perdition.

RUMOR #1: We can deduce that it would probably be Cara who gets killed (ie: her beautiful nakedness standing in front of Darken Rhal) however it will not be a permanent death because she is simply just too hot to kill forever.

RUMOR #2: Kahlan’s power being taken from her? Not quite sure how that plays out (I’m only reading Blood of the Fold at this point) however in the episode Perdition they were speaking about Kahlan not having any powers in Richard’s nightmare. Maybe that dream will sort of come true in an attempt by the Keeper to give Richard’s nightmares some substance and off-balance him.

Regardless, it will be interesting to see how it all plays out. As you guys know, getting LoTS information early is damn near impossible but this little nugget should prove an interesting “must watch for”.

RUMORS: Sister Nicci Re-Cast in Addition to a New Mord-Sith?

After the great response that Season 2 Episode 10 “Perdition” received last night there is much speculation and buzz going around the internet about a couple of casting additions and or alterations. There are two unconfirmed rumors circulating right now and we’re gonna post ‘em both for you to mull over!

RUMOR #1 – Sister Nicci has been re-cast and will return in a recurring role…
Nobody knows what this one is really all about and after watching Perdition I am unsure as to whether or not there is much credence to this one but still, it would pose some interesting plot developments. Apparently she is set to return as of Season 2 Episode 13 (entitled “Princess”) but no official casting information has been released or at least none that I could find. If you know of something official than by all means email it to me and I’ll post it up.

well for starters I think Jolene Blalock has a recurring role somewhere else? Also Nicci is huge in the coming books/seasons so they needed someone that can and do stick around like Cara. Really they should have started with one to begin with but Jolene Blalock was a promotional guest star.

I kind of agree that Sister Nicci being killed off that easily and that quickly really does go totally against the overall plot of the books. Nicci becomes a central figure in the storyline for a long time still to come however in the absence of Nicci it certainly does leave us in mystery, wondering where and what will happen next.

It’s like reading the books, only different!

RUMOR #2 -Katrina Law (from Spartacus: Blood and Sand) has been cast as a new Mord-Sith…
Katrina Law, who has been in shows like Chuck and Spartacus, has been cast to play the role of yet another sexy Mord-Sith named Garren in the upcoming Season 2 episodes number 18 and 19. It is not quite clear yet what her role in the plot will be and how she will affect the overall storyline but it should prove an interesting plot development.

I’m gonna go out on a limb for this one and give a prediction as to what I think this will involve.

Michael’s Prediction: Mistress Garren (Katrina Law’s character) comes after Cara in a big way for betraying, and ultimately helping to destroy, Darken Rahl. That would place the story arc in a pretty Cara-centric way but we have seen each character (including Zedd) get entire episodes devoted to them to help with overall character development. Remember when Darken Rahl appeared to Triana (Charisma Carpenter) and gave her a mission? I think Garren will be the one to execute that mission.
